Who We Are  

We are a small group of outdoorsy people whose main purpose is to bring people closer to nature. When we aren’t building ponds, we are hanging out together or fishing, biking etc. We design and build some of Boston’s most amazing natural water features, and we love doing it. Building large fountainscapes to huge backyard ponds, we have the coolest job in the world. We want to turn everyone into an “outsider” through building water features and we can’t wait for you to join us!

Your Role  

Water feature technicians & builders are a key part of our field team. They are responsible for aiding the construction of projects while also maintaining the water features that we build. The technician will take part in assembling main pond components, placing rocks, moving materials, driving machines etc. He/she is a crucial piece of the creative and innovative role on site with plenty of opportunity to grow into a lead designer and manager!

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design and construction of Water Features including and not limited to: 

  • Excavation (digging or driving excavator)  

  • Placing rocks and gravel 

  • Installing mechanical components 

  • Moving materials  

  • Driving truck to picking up materials 

  • Clean-up 

  • Participate in maintenance tasks including but not limited to: 

  • Water feature cleanouts 

  • Weekly service calls 

  • One-off service calls 

  • Report to director and maintenance manager 

  • Ensure vehicles and construction areas are well-kept  

  • Report any low stock on site or in company vehicles 

  • Perform tasks requested by supervisor

Requirements

  • Complete Aquascape University Training 

  • Complete company training days 

  • Follow safety regulations 

  • Team player 

  • Ability to lift 80-100lbs 

  • Valid driver’s license 

  • Own vehicle or ability to arrive at meet spot/site on time 

  • Willing to work in all weather conditions 

  • Able to work independently 

  • Full availability on weekdays (7:30am – 4:00pm) 

  • Steel toe boots required at all times on site

  • Experience in the landscape industry preferred 

  • Machine operation experience (excavator, skid-steer)  

 

COMPENSATION 

Salary: $20-$30/hour (based on experience)
