Nantucket Basalt Columns

NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS

About the Project

Catherine reached out to us in 2020 after seeing our downtown fountain display in Dover. She loved all the different fountain pieces and wondered if we’d be willing to travel to Nantucket to design something at her summer home. She was in the midst of creating a vegetable garden, which would include a series of raised beds, a gazebo, and tasteful woodworking surrounding the space.

  • The idea of a fountain at the center of this new garden really resonated with her, so we suggested a series of bubbling basalt columns that would complement the beachy vibe on the island as well as the surrounding color tones. Unfortunately, we haven’t been back to the island to see what the now completed space looks like, but Catherine assures us it’s spectacular!

IN CATHERINE’S WORDS

“Working with Jonathan was a fun and creative process. His ideas and enthusiasm for our project made for a seamless and rewarding experience. He went above and beyond traveling to Nantucket for the site exploration and install. We absolutely love our water feature in our garden. I would not hesitate to use FallingWater Scapes for our next water feature project.”
