About the Project

In 2017, our client Pinina had a severe leak in her water feature. To make things worse, she couldn’t fill it back up when it drained either – due to constraints from a low-producing well that’s known to dry up in the summer. Rather than fix the leak, we opted to redesign her feature and convert it to a pondless waterfall with a substantial underground reservoir.

  • The new design added 300 gallons in storage beneath the feature, which now allows her to go several weeks to even months without needing substantial amount of rain to replenish the reservoir. Additionally, Pinina no longer has to worry about fish dying from the pond level dropping nor the water quality issues that accompanied the old feature. A rebuild can be quite expensive, but in cases like these, is the best investment one can make.
