DOVER, MASSACHUSETTS

About the Project

Located right outside my office window, I knew I couldn’t spare any details on this basement waterfall (otherwise, I’d definitely notice…and it would drive me nuts!). As a result, this project has almost every element you could want in a water feature. From large mossy boulders, to a spillway bowl, a custom cedar bridge etched in the rockwork, a stacked-slate planter (along with complementary slate work in other areas), driftwood, lights, and 15 distinct drops.

  • Additionally, there’s a 300-gallon reservoir to allow for winter operation and a 115’ overflow pipe that runs to daylight (reliably mitigating storm-water during downpours). To top it all off, this feature won best pondless waterfall in a nation-wide contest held by Pond Trade Magazine in 2022.
